Story behind the song
my internal dialogue, please shut up; please shut up hush little monkey let me be and stop talking to me
Lyrics
500 miles in 40 days my internal dialogue, please shut up; please shut up hush little monkey let me be and stop talking to me then one day I just walked away, 500 miles in 40 days then one day I just walked away, 500 miles in 40 days walked through the hills and planes of Spain, felt no fear; felt no pain really enjoyed drinking cappuccino with my fellow Peregrino walked all the way to Santiago, followed the footsteps of Saint James love thy neighbor as thyself and have faith in God above hush little monkey let me be and stop talking to me one day I just walked away, 500 miles in 40 days I watched the lighthouse in Finisterre at the end of the world and finally when the sun did set it was me-myself who I met my internal dialogue, did shut up; did shut up hush little monkey finally he stopped talking to me

fun stuff here that tells an important story about finding respect for ones self on the road.. but I understand about negative internal dialogue, it can be a pain. maybe I should take a walk, and then my monkey will shut up too. thank you for sharing
