inspired by a Si-Fi novel by Robert A. Heinlein
In the opener, Richard Colin "Dr. Ames" Campbell "I am not an assassin. Killing is more of a hobby with me" (p.3) is hosting a dinner for Hazel Stone (aka Gwen Novak) when a stranger has the bad taste to get himself killed at his table.
Pretty soon Richard and Gwen find themselves on the run, hunted by unknown assailants, for an unknown purpose, with the entire small orbital company-run colony becoming one huge trap ready to snap any second.
The story follows their hasty marriage, their narrow escape to Luna where they get into one adventure after the other..
The Cat Who Walks Through Walls may be regarded as part of Heinlein's multiverse series, or as a sequel to both The Number of the Beast and The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress. During a meeting of the Council of the Time Scouts, representatives from every major time line and setting written by Heinlein appear, including Glory Road and Starship Troopers.
The title of the book refers to a cat by the name of Pixel, who has an inexplicable tendency to be wherever the narrator happens to be. However, Pixel is only a supporting character who doesn't appear in the story until the final third of the book.
