Story behind the song
Homeworld OST - Track 1 mission 1 - Kharak System, composed by Paul Ruskay This is my embellished version played on the AKAI MPK261 using SampleTank3 VST and Magix soft synths. Homeworld is a real-time strategy (RTS) computer game released 9/28/1999, developed by Relic Entertainment and published by Sierra Entertainment. It was the first fully three-dimensional real-time strategy game. Homeworld was followed by Homeworld: Cataclysm (2000) and Homeworld 2 (2003). In 2014 Homeworld: Remastered and Homeworld 2 HD were announced by the new intellectual property holder, Gearbox Software. The remakes were released on February 25, 2015. An upcoming prequel game, titled Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak (formerly Homeworld: Shipbreakers), is currently being developed by Blackbird Interactive, scheduled for a January 20th 2016 release. The new soundtrack is also composed by Paul Ruskay, and includes this track as it's last mission credits, tying it into the prequel of the original Homeworld.
