Quite fascinating....all that creativity you possess within your talented soul, Michael. MAD Magazine was always my favorite to read in my earlier life. Excellent work.

What a peculiar song! It's both strange and fascinated... Sax is amazing! Have put it to one of my stations. ))

Oh yes, very b/w theme tune, rainy streetlights, wet roads, turned up collars. Superb composition.

Yes, this sounds like free and experimental Jazz out of the 60's. Like looking to a very old television, in black and white. Something funny. Think Charly Chaplin would fit perfectly in this kind of track. I like that Sax and the authentic 60's sound! Good job Michael!
Sweet :)

Wow, this is something completely different from your other works. Very impressive stuff. Love that sax. Did you perform this on the TriplePlay or keyboard? Either way, it sounds great! Giving it a 2nd spin now, and those drums wow, love the snare, lots of fine details in the hihats too. Also nice keys and bass. Excellent work! :)

Oh yes this hits the bullseye - absolutely nails the early 60s jazz vibe - perfect for the genre. You can just hear this over an edgy detective drama. Your instrumentation is outstanding here - sax, bass and deranged drumming has a real jazz club vibe. Nice.

Oh how we used to love those Mad magazines. A friend of mine had a large gap in his front teeth. We called him 'Alfred', after Alfred E. Neuman, who graced the front covers of Mad magazines. Spy v Spy ...I remember it well. Your free jazz piece conjours up a rainy night in New York in the 1960s...you've absolutely, 'nailed it'. I like it a lot. The sax is so slippery and evocative ..Brilliant. My personal favourite of the challenge.

One of the best of the night. If any of these tracks were listened to individually, they would not give a clue to the song. The avant-garde jazz drum track is awesome, as are the cool abstract bass lines. The sax of course has the spotlight and it doesn't disappoint. Great late night big city vibe. Great tune Michael!
This one brings back memories. That falling down sax is great, but the rhythm section is what keeps it together. Love those big bad bass slides. Truly enjoyed every moment of this - one of the highlights of the evening for me.

A masterpiece, skating like on ice between free jazz and acid jazz, a wonderful rendition of a typical Jazz style that remind me at the end 50´s or early 60´s...... the drum ( superior sound quality) and bass parts are to die for, the piano subtly whispering a musical path that the sax lead excellently walks through. Mater class, my friend, master class!!! My hat off to you!! Great work indeed.

Great nostalgic picture of the iconic Mad comic book characters. Fits the challenge theme completely. Very impressive free style jazz track. You captured the real ambient mood of this music form. Most noteworthy to me is your terrific guitar-synth-sax performance. Totally nailed it.
I remember these cool strips in the MAD mags ;) Wow Michael, this Jazz piece twists and turns around each curve... very cool!

Oh yes...I love this! Fantastic free style, yet it never loses its way - captivating throughout, great vibe, action-packed and full of fantastic visuals of late night bars, sleazy joints and underhanded activity. Superb work on the sax. Perfect movie material. First class.
